DISPUTE ON ROADSIDE.

•—. , MOTORIST AND DROVER PDSTED. A dispute between a motorist and a man driving cows was ventilated in the Otahuhu Police Court yesterday, when R. W. Graham was charged with driving cows oh the footpath and with fighting, and Thomas N. Wilkinson was charged with fighting. Graham did not appear. Wilkinson, in evidence, said as he was driving in his car he saw Graham driving cows in a careless manner. Most of the cows were behind him on the footpath, and his dog was at his heels. He stopped and asked Graham to drive his cows off the footpath. The response was some "flowery" language. Getting out of his car Wilkinson approached Graham, who became abusive and tried to hit him. In order to quieten Graham Wilkinson knocked him down. The magistrate, Mr. P. H. Levin, fined | Graham 20/ and costs and 20/6 for the cows, and Wilkinson 20/, and 10/ costs for his blow.
