Year by year thousands of new comers join the motor cycle movement (savs an English paper). In 1929 the

number of motor cycles licensed in Great Britain reached the enormous total of 732,300, and by the end of this year the total promises to exceed threequarters of a million. When it is remembered that six vears ago the number was under 500,000, an insight is rained as to the expansion of the pastime aDd the ever-widening interest it evokes. But the growth would be more rapid still if only our staple industries were in a more prosperous state, for there are thousands who are only prevented from joining the ranks of motor cyclists by bad trade and shortage of money.
