At an informal gathering at the Green Island landing ground to-day, Mrs. Kichard Hudson, sen., christened the first aeroplane to be purchased for commercial purposes in New Zealand. General congratulations were tendered the owners, Messrs. Cadbury, Fry, and Hudson.
