BOXING.
LECKIE. V. SHACK. Interest in the boxing bout between Johnny Leckie and Sammy Shack at the Town Hall on Tuesday has been increased by Leckie's win against Donovan this week. Shack and Leckie have previously met, the latter winning on points. This was prior to Leckie's defeats by Sarron, and the result of the Otago lad's match with Donovan indicates that he is back in his old-time form. The preliminary amateur bouts will be:—Manson v. Johns (feather), Slade v. Painter (light-heavy), Cleverley v. Smith (welter) and McKnight v. Leslie (welter).' " '
