o PROTEST AGAINST GRADING. STANDING BROUGHT DOWN. (By Telegraph..—Press Association.) CHKISTCHUECH, Saturday. Following the recent discussion on the export of third-grade lamb from New Zealand, the three Canterbury freezing companies have combined to send the following telegram to the Director of Agriculture, Wellington, and the General . Manager of the Meat Board, Wellington: "We wish to protest against the grading of third quality lambs for export for reason that it will undoubtedly lower the reputation of Canterbury ■ lamb on the London. market. We heartily endorse the opinion expressed at the : Farmers' Union conference that it was : a. deplorable thing'to allow the standing of our lambs to be brought down to the j : level of Australian or Argentine lambs." 1;
