CHINESE FINED.
PROHIBITED IMMIGRANT. MONEY IN CAULIFLOWERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Saturday. A Chinese, Lee Wong, arrested, on warrant from Auckland, charged with being a prohibited immigrant, was fined £10 and ordered to be deported within 30 days. Counsel for defendant said he was in partnership with another Chinese in a market garden and had an interest in cauliflowers worth between £3000 and £4000.
