ORDER AGAINST SOLICITOR.
MODIFICATION REFUSED. COURT PROCEEDINGS IN APIA. Tho "New Zealand Samoan Guardian" has received a radio message from Apia stating that an application was made to Chief Judge Luxford, in the High Court of Western Samoa, by Mr. P. B. Fitzherbert, asking that An order made against Mr. T. B. Slipper, barrister and solicitor, compelling him tc* remain within a one-mile radius of Apia during the period he- is 6n bail pending his appeal to the New Zealand Courts Against sentence passed on him, be modified. The message states that the application was made by Mr. Fitzherbert, as Mr. Slipper, though-In ill-health, declined to apply. An application was also made by Inspector Brairley toi impose a further restriction that Mr. Slipper should not communicate with half-caste European Samoans. Both applications were refused by the Court.
