RIFLE SHOOTING.

AUCKLAND CITY CLUB. The Auckland City Club concluded the service championship on Saturday, but scoring was poor in spite of the ideal conditions. C. Robinson, Grammar School boy, won the spoon as top scorer off the rifle with 88, his 32 out of 35 at 300 yds at the snap-shooting disc being a high-class performance. S. Griffiths showed a return to form bv winning the handicap spoon fairly easily. C. J. N. . Clark won the championship with sin aggregate of 182, K. C. Russell being runner-up with 175, one point ahead of P. J. Pring. Clark wins Mr. S. J. Milne's cup outright, this being his third championship in four years. . The winter service programme will be opened on the 21th Inst, in conjunction with a match against the New Zealand division of the, Royal Navy and the Engineers and Signallers. The City team will be drawn from the following:—Clark, Griffiths, McKay, Peat, Pring. Robertson, Robieson, Russell, Simmonds and Watt. Prize winners for the season are : —Club champion, P. J. Pring; runner- up. A. G. Robertson ; junior champion, H. W. Verralt; service champion. C. J. N. Clark; runnerup, R. C. Russell; best average for season off rifle, A. C. Watson; best average for season with handicaps, A. G. Robertson; consolation trophy, R. C Russell; knockout cup. P. J. Pring; club trophies for four-week shoots were won by G. 11. Hugnes, A G. Robertson. J. A. Spry, A. C. Watson and C. J. N, Clark.
