GOLF.
PAPAKURA CLUB'S OPENING. Over 100 golfers were present at the official opening of the Papakura Club's links on Saturday afternoon. Ideal weather prevailed. Clubs represented by the visitors were Onewhero, Pukekohe, Manurewa, Everslie and, Otahuhu. The visitors were welcomed by the president of the Papakura Club, Mr. E. D. McLennan, who declared the links open. Miss A. McLennan drove the first ball. A Canadian foursomes match was played. The winners were: — Mrs. Hosking (Pukekohe), and Eustace (Otahuhu).
