CHRISTIAN SCIENCE LESSON.
"Adam and Fallen Man" was the subject of the lesson-sermon in First Church of Christ, Scientist, Auckland. The text was from 11. Timothy, iii, 16, 17 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man or God may be perfect, thoroughly tarnished unto all good works." Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon was the following from the Bible: "Jor as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." The lesson- ; sermon also included the following passage from the Christian Science textbook bv Mary Baker Eddy: -Lite is, alwavs has been, and ever will be independent of matter: ior lire is God, and man is the idea or God, not lormed materially, but spiritually, and not subject to decay and dust. .. . lhe truth is the science of being, that the real man was, is, and ever shall be perfect, is incontrovertible; for if man is the image, reflection, of God, he is neither inverted nor subverted, but upright and Godlike."
