LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.
On Thursday last a meeting, convened by Mrs. Lonsdale, consisting of representative women of Hamilton, was held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall, in order to give the Auckland provincial president aud secretary an opportunity of explaining the aims and objects of the league, with a view of forming a branch in Hamilton. Mrs. W. Frazer was in the chair. After Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell- (president) had explained the aims and Miss A, M. Arey, provincial secretary, had dealt with the business matters, it was unanimously decided to form a branch, to be known as "The Hamilton Branch of the League of Mothers." The electio- of officers followed:—President, Mrs. W. Frazer; vice-presidents, Mrs. Gilbert and Mrs. Lonsdale; secretary, Mrs. W. A. Gifford; treasurer, Mrs. W. J. Earle. A committee of six was also elected.
