BUILDER BANKRUPT.
COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE
A meeting of creditors in the estate of V. B. Thorn was held at the Official Assignee's office this morning, when it was decided that a committee of three be appointed to go into his affairs with the Official Assignee. Bankrupt is a building contractor, who was residing at Onehuhga, but is now resident at St. Heliers /Bay. He attributed his bankruptcy to bad health and medical expenses. Jri his statement he set out that in part, the bankruptcy was due to the nonsale of three properties, all in first-class order, and all occupied by good tenants. It was unfortunate that his creditors had pressed
him. ' . .. , , Bankrupt's statement showed that he was owing £343. 8/4 to unsecured creditors and to secured creditors .t£i6Z. His total indebtedness amounted to £3075 8/4. He estimated his assets at £2800.
