SEQUEL TO RECENT ROUND-UP,
One of the fifteen persons caught by the police during the big round-up of undesirable in the city a week ago, Mabel Stout, aged 3fi, who obtained a, remand until to-day. was dealt with this morning by Mr. f! K. Hunt, S.M., on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person who habitually consorted with reputed thieves and undesirables. She pleaded not guilty. Constables Christiansen and Moore said they had known the accused for some years. From April 14 until May 3 they had kept her under observation. She had not been long out of prison. She had been associating with undesirables (named by the witnesses) and drank with them in hotels almost daily. S'he did no work and frequented the streets, often accosting men. Both had warned her repeated!v about her ways.
Mr. Hunt: Seven times you have been convicted for vagrancy. You will now tjo. back to gnol again for three months. Apparently you will not learn your lesson.-
