ARTS EXHIBITION.
AUCKLAND SOCIETY.
HIGH STANDARD OF WORK
Although the number of pictures entered for the annual exhibition of the Auckland Society of Arts is smaller this vear than last year, the standard is reported to be as high. About 450 entries were received last year, as asain'st about 300 this year. About 250 will be selected by the hanging committee, for the display which will open on Mav 23.
Auckland artists conributed 193 of the exhibits, and 120 came from other parts of the Dominion.
