HOW TO FRAME PICTURE POSTCARDS. AN ATTRACTIVE DISPLAY FOR THE BAZAAR. (Conducted by TINKER BELL.) Dear Girls,— Simple things are usually found to sell well at bazaars, providing that they are neat, attractive and well made. Nothing is quite so easy to make, or looks quite so well on a stall as framed picture postcards. The cards are usually -easily obtained, for many quite pretty scenes are depicted upon postcards sent by friends and relatives during the festive seasons. Very little material will be required for the framing of postcards and the task itself requires but very little skill. Fairly stiff paper, of -a colour suitable to tone with lie scene on the card that is to be framed, together with a small strip of cardboard and a little gum are the only essential re-

quisites. The card should be laid in the centre of a piece of framing paper sufficiently large to -allow a one-inch overlap all round, for the average postcard the dimensions -of the paper are usually seven inches long by five inches -wide. With the card in position, turn down each of the corners of the paper until v the points touch the corners of the card, And crease neatly. Fold the corners again as indicated by the dotted lines in the picture, then tnrn both the framing paper and the card over and fold back the edges' of the

paper. The result will be that all four corners of the card are encased in neat fitting covers. Another piece of paper' is gummed across the back to secure the turned back edges, then a strip of cardboard is glued into position to iorm a leg that will enable the picture to stand up. These cards, besides selling well at bazaars, look very pretty ußpn dressing tables .and mantelshelves, whilst with the exception of the leg the cards can be threaded with cotton and -hung upon the wall.
