DEATH RAY.
TO FOIL BURGLARS. Eard times are coming for the professional "nunman." if all be true that is claimed by Herr Youg, a Berlin engineer and inventor. _ Herr Youz says he has devised a 'death ray," which'will enable the police to discharge weapons of gunmen and others before the criminals can "draw a bead' or otherwise use their firearms. Thus, a policeman, armed with the "death ray." might administer a "bolt from the blue" to a burglar by firing off the robber's own revolver while it is still in his hip poe&et. So far the device is said to discharge a tuti 40 or bO feet awaj. " Herr Youg is continuing experiments in the hope of extending the rays so as to make them effective for military purposes.
