MELLON'S BAY ROAD.
IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE. The garding, formation and metalling of the road on the north-west side of the Stockade Hill Reserve, to bring_ it into permanent use during excavation work on the main road on the township side of the hill, has been decided on hy the Howick Town Board. The deviation, which is about five chains long, will be metalled to a width of ISft, and will be of considerable benefit to residents of the Mellon's Bay district, as it will eliminate a bad corner' and provide a straight run through on a higher level. It is intended to start the work on Monday.
