FIVE-MINUTE SHOCK.
Earth Tremer Felt In Japan— No Damage Reported. CENTRE OF ACTIVITY AT SEA. (Received 11 a.m.) TOKYO, April 1. An earthquake was felt here early this morning, but there have been no reports of casualties, nor ot any great damage. The Central Meteorological Observatory said that the centre of activity was probably at sea, 75 miles northeast of Tokyo. An earthquake which started at 12.58 a.m. was regwtered on the seismographs for 30 minutes. It was perceptible to residents in Tokyo for five minutes. Scientists attribute the 'quake to activity in "the outer Tuscartra Earthquake Belt."
SYDNEY SENSITIVE. SEISMOGRAPH RECORD. SYDNEY, May 1. In regard to the report of an earthquake It Tokyo, the director of the Riverview Observatory, Sydney, says the record on his small. It indicated that the ehock occurred in the vicinity of Japan.
