CHANNEL TUNNEL.
EXPERT EXAMINATION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 30. The Prime Minister, Mr. Mac Donald, was asked in the House of Commons whether he had yet reached a decision about the construction of a Channel tunnel, or if he could fix any date when he hoped to be able to announce the decision of the Committee of Imperial Defence on the subject. In reply Mr. Mac Donald said the report of the special committee _ which had examined the project was in the hands of two or three authorities who must consider it. This matter could not be settled in a day. It was the largest scheme of national policy before the Government at present.
