PURCHASES FOR NEW ZEALAND. FOURTEEN FROM ELDERSLIE SOLD. (Received 8.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. At the yearling sales on Thursday Mr. H. Murphy, of Wellington, paid llOgns for a colt by Roger de Bueli —Centaurea. . The colt by Romeo —Lady Kerman,. offered on account of Mr. Ernest Alison, .was passed at 80gns. A filly by Manfred from Frances Tressady was purchased by the Warwick Farm trainer H. Andrews for Gsogns. Mr. J. E. Brien paid 2000gns for a Rossendale—Pansy colt, brother to Panola and Vertigern. Mi'. 'J. 'Scobie secured a Heroic —Potpouri colt for 1025gns. Mr. Lan Duncan, of New Zealand, sold 14 yearlings for 2545gn5. The best price was 575gns for a T'ea Tray—Afterglow colt, which was bought by Mr. W. Nicholls. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., of New Zealand, bought a Polyphonic—Derrilith filly for lOOgns.' " *
