HOME IN RUINS.
TS PTJKE MAN'S DISCOVERY. FIRE DURING ABSENCE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE PUKE, this day. A three-roomed residence owned and solely occupied by Mr. 15. 0. Webber was totally destroyed by .'ire ac Maniatutu late last evening. At the time of the outbreak the owner w.is absent in Te Puke at a social, and upon returning home later in the evening he was amazed to discover his residence a :nass of ruins. The origin of the outbreak is not known. The dwelling was covered by an insurance policy of £130 with the Union Assurance Society, Ltd., and the contents by a policy of £50 in the same company.
