STATE MONOPOLY.
LIQUOR IN SWITZERLAND. GENEVA, April 7. A referendum has resulted in 457.340 votes being cast in favour of a State monopoly in the manufacture of alcohol and 314,316 against it. The law enables the Swiss Government to limit the sale of liquor in rural districts where strong opposition can be expected..
