LESS LUXURIOUS TEAS.
' I am quite at a loss to understand why only ■ afternoon teas are to be less luxurious. Why ; not dinner parties and supper parties? We ' all know that as the years pass by sweet cakee become less and less palatable, that \ "dainty bite make rich the ribs" (a state, with j the present fashions in drese, to be rigidly . eschewed), that sweets are not an acquired taste, but that cocktails are, and that, ' although cocktails may not "make rich the I ribs" they may "bankrupt quite the wits." If 1 the members of the L.L.T. Club would help ' | to put a check upon gambling and cocktail ' drinking at parties they would, I feel sure, " have the support of every woman who has the ' welfare of the rising generation at heart.
