AVALON CLUB.

The Avalon Club flew a race from Hunterville, an airline distance of 225 miles. The birds were liberated in fine weather, the winning bird proving to be Mr. J. The 'North Shore Pigeon Club contested a race from Ohakune Junction, an airline distance of 186 miles, in fine weather for a trophy presented by Mr. R. Bamhill. The winning bird homed to Messrs. Roman and Chambers' loft after a good performance of 1112 yds per minute. The above club flew a race from Taumarunui, an airline distance of 145 miles. Onehunga Club flew their tenth young bird race from Wanganui, 212 miles airline. Liberated in fine weather by the stationmaster, the winning bird did the journey in 6 hours 2 minutes, recording a popular win for its owner, Mr. Collins. Results: — Mr. T.
