Mrs. McWhanncll, of Christdmrch, is the guest of Mrs. J. MeWhannell, Oh'aupo. Mrs. P. E. Stevens has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. Curtis, of Masterton, lias been staying with friends in Hamilton. Mrs. Armstrong has returned to Cambridge from a holiday spent in the Uangitikei district. Mrs. Vere Chitty has "returned to Hamilton after being away at Feilding. Mrs. H. Valder, of "Ediugthorpe," Claudelands, and the* Misses' Vajder have been staying, at Tongariro. Mrs. P. Powdrcll, of Hawera, has' been on a visit to Hamilton. Miss L. Ellis, of Cambridge, is on a visit to Greymbnth. Miss E. Guy has returned to Hamilton after being away for several months in Wellington. Mrs. H. H. Clark, of Claudehtnds, and Miss D. Clark have been staying at Tongariro. Miss V. Lewis, of Cambridge, has left to reside in Napier. Miss D. Froude has returned to Hamilton, 'after being away in Australia. Mrs. D. K. Dunbar, of Christchurch, has been staying in Hamilton. Mrs. C. L. MacDiarmid, "Cruachan," Hamilton, is spending a short holiday at Tongariro Chateau. Miss McLeod, of Hamilton, lias been staying at Glen Massey. Mrs. Carter,'of Marlon, was in Hamilton during the week. Mrs. W. De La tour, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. A. E. Manning, River Koad, Claudelands. Miss B. Vickery'has returned to Hamilton from a trip to Te Kuiti. Mrs. F. W. Anderson, of Okoroire, is on a holiday visit to Tauranga. Mrs. J. Montagu, of Matamata, is away at Wanganui. Mrs. D. Hay, of Hamilton, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. A. W. Beveridge has left Hamilton on an extended visit to England. Mrs. L. Handcock, of Okoroire, is away on a visit to Bombay. Mrs. A. Griffiths, of Claudelands, has gone to Blenheim for a holiday. Miss E. Norrish has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Tauranga and Kotorua. Mrs. W. D. Ross has returned to Hamilton from a holiday spent in the Taranaki district. Miss M. Bcalc, of Hamilton, is on a visit to Auckland. Miss A. Coventry, of Matangi, is spending a holiday with friends in Blenheim. Mrs. C. A. Levitt, of Feilding, has on a visit to Hamilton. Miss L. 'Jussen* has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. W. D. Pountney lias returned to Hamilton after using the guest of Mrs. E. M. Cowie, at Khandallah. Mrs. J. V. Lorimer, of New Plymouth, was in Hamilton during the week. Mrs; Blomfield, of Nelson, if visiting relatives in Hamilton. Mrs. J. Murray, of Hamilton, is away on a visit to Wellington. A farewell morning tea was given for Mrs. A. E. Manning, on Wednesday, at the'home of Miss Piiro Brewis, Opoua Flat, Claudelands. The rooms .were beautifully decorated with brown zinnias and scarlet foliage. Miss Brewis wore a lettuce green frock; Mrs. Manning, dark clerical grey costume and small hat. Those present'were: Mrs. A. S. Brewis, Mrs. F. T. Wilson, Mrs. S. A. Bennett, Mrs. W. H. Hume, Mrs. L. Swales, Mrs. H. Douglas, Mrs. A. R. Brown, Mrs. H. T. Gillies, Mrs. 0. M. Monckton, Mrs. O. R. Farrer, and Miss Swales (Auckland). An enoyable dance was given at Glen Afton for Miss M. Adams, whose marriage takes place at an' early date. During the evening Miss Adau<s was 'the recipient of a table with linen and full range of kitchen utensils from her friends. Those present Included: Mesdames J. Adams, Batt, T. H. Henderson, Dellaway, J. Green, J. Thomas, F. Milner, J. Cairns, T. Curragh, Rose, J. Hamilton, F. Jobes, J. Mitchell, W. Brown, Moyes, C. Henderson, L. Stephens, E. Curran, S. Greenhorn, T. Brown, T. Kelly and Tullett. Prior to her departure for Canada Mrs. A. E. Manning was entertained at a morning tea party in the beautiful garden of Mrs. Hugh Douglas, Pembroke Street, Hamilton. Tea was served under the. trees near the rose garden. Those present included: Mrs. H. Harris, Mrs. W. H. Hume, Mrs. J. R. Fow, Mrs. S. A. Bennett, Mrs. L. Swale?, Mrs. Lumsden (Hanmer), Mrs. A. English, Mrs. A. E. Brown, Mrs. A. L. Yule, Mrs. T.
