DUNEDIN RESOLUTION.
ALLIANCE ACTION ENDORSED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. In an address last evening Mr. Arthur Cook, National president of the Alliance of Labour, dealt with -workers' compensation, and explained the alliance's attitude to the compensation committee of inquiry. Mr. Roberts, the alliance secretary, also addressed the meeting on the right of the worker to emplyoment or sustenance. A resolution was carried as follows: — "This meeting of Dunedin trade unionists endorses the alliance action in refusing to eo-operate with the committee, as the Government should ha\;e consulted the trade unions in the appointment of a workers' representative.' .
