Mr. A. Harris, M.P. for Waitemalta, left for Wellington last evening. The Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher left for the South last evening. Brigadier H. R. Potter and Lieuten-ant-Colonel J. E. Duigan left for the South by the Limited last evening. Mr. C. J. Norwood, a former Mayor of Wellington, and Mrs. Norwood are. at the Grand Hotel. Mr. L. E. Rhodes, Mayor of Mount Albert, has contracted influenza ana is in consequence confined to hie home. Mr. Stan Millington, of Wellington, is sailing to-day by the Niagara on an extended (.our of Canada. Mr. A. R. Shepard, general manager for J. C. Williamson films, arrived in Auckland by the Limited yesterday morning. Mr. R. K. Clemow, of the Auckland city engineering staff, has been elected an* associate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. Grand Hotel guests include: Mr. Weil (London), Mr. J. P. Chief Engineer of the New Zealand Railways, arrived i« Auckland from Wellington by the- Limited express this morning. He is at Hotel Cargen. - Mr. Masao Ohta (Sydney), Mr. Namura (Yokohama). Mr. K. Yoda. and Mr. Shimidzu (Tokyo), delegates to the Rotary Conference, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Sir Herbert Cayzer, Unionist M.P. for South Portsmouth, a brother of Lat>y Jellicoe, and managing director of tlie Clan Line Steamers, Limited, is staying at the Grand Hotel. He is accompanied' by Lady Cayzer and Miss Cayzer. Among the guests at the Central Hotel are the following: Mr. P. Hackett, Ur. F. Salinger (Dunedin), Mr. W. Fuller, Mr. H. Balneavh (Wellington), Mr. T, A. Winks. Mr. H. D. Forsyth (Hawera), Mr. and Mrs. E. Henderson (Okaihau). Royal Hotel guests include: Mr. and Mrs. Eighton (Bristol, England), -Mr. A. C.
