CHRISTCHimCH TROUBLE. LEAGUE FOOTBALL COMPLAINT. SUGGESTION OF FAVOURITISM. (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Canterbury Rugby League intends obtaining legal advice upon the question of securing for its use one or more playing grounds under the control of the Clfristchurcli Domains Board. This decision was arrived at by the management committee of the League last night, after strong criticism had been levelled at the board for having declined the League's application on the ground that no areas were available in north or south Hagley Park. The growth of teams in the League code was pointed out, and it was stated that although the Rugby Union had the use of 20 grounds in Hagley Park, Association football of four and hockey of eight, the League could not obtain any areas. It was stated that of the grounds under the control of the Domain? Board and of the City Council Rugby had the use of 30. hockey of 16, Association football of six and the League only of five.
