The reef is still split up into ribs of quartz and country rock, but no gold has been seen. Moanatalari.—The mine manager reports that they have crosscut through the reef for about Bft.. There are about sft of solid quartz, the rost composed of ribs of quartz and country, rock;. I do not think we have yet got the main hangingwnll. Thp quartz shows colours of gold and is fairly well mineralised. We have cut out a sump at the bottom of the shaft and this will l>e completed on Monday. We will tlieu drire on the reef both ways.
