LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
PARNELL CLUB. There was a good attendance at the annual meeting held by the Parnell Club, and the prospects of the season are good. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. George Paries for services rendered to the club as senior delegate to the A.R.L., Mr. Davieshaviug resigned the position to join up with tlie Newmarket Club. The club has made it a practice to send a team away on tour each rear, and last year a team was sent to Huntly and gave a good account of themselves. There is a,cash balance of £30 in the bank and gear to the value of Many new members have joined up and the onrlook for the 1930 season is very promising. The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Mr. .T. A. J-ee; chairman, Mr. F. Hunter: secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. R. Turner; delegate to A.R.L., Mr. 'I. Wells: club captain, R. Sloman; coach, R. Brockliss.
