It is announced that a firm of service car proprietors will shortly begin a daily service between Blenheim and the West Coast districts over the new road now nearing completion, which gives direct access by way of Tophouse and Lake Rotoiti to Murchieon. The new, road is free of hills, and it is anticipated that when the timetables are evolved travellers will bei able to leave Westport, Reefton, and the surrounding districts in the morning and, connecting with the Tamahine at Picton, reach Wellington in time for dinner the same evening.
