AUSTRALIANS IN HAMILTON. TWO MEMBERS UXPUXCTUAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day.
Two members of the Australian tennis team, G. Sproule and G. J. Donohoe, failed to arrive for the matches against the Waikato to-day. F. E. Kalms and W. Tongue, the other, members of the team, who arrived on time, <=aid they last saw their companions, in another car near Bombay on the journey from Auckland. As the second car contained their racquets and clothing, Kalms and Teague borrowed gear with which to play. Teacue defeated Dr. Gray (Thames) o—3. 6—l. Though the Australian's service was not outstanding, he had his opponent worried with magnificent forehand drives and accurate placements. The match was hardly spectacular, but close overhead work in the second set aroused enthusiasm among the big gallery. In an exhibition set Dr. (Ira.r and * Brough (Hamilton) defeated Dr. J. T.
