FIRES.
WASH-HOUSE GUTTED. A fire just after five o'clock on Saturday evening caused considerable damage to a detached wash-house at 8, Selbourne Street, Grey Lynn. The blaze was quickly extinguished by the Gity Brigade. The house and outbuildings were insured in the Phoenix Assurance Company for £800. v TWO BUNGALOWS DESTROYED T 1 (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. Two modern bungalows were destroyed by fire ait Eastbourne, and a third Was considerably damaged, early this morning. One was owned and occupied by Mrs. Jacobs, of Wellington, and the other was owned by Mrs. Waters, of Wellington, and occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Hunt. The high northerly wind carried the flames from Mrs. Waters' property to that of Mrs. Jacobs, and the fire also spread ,to a third house belonging to Mr. D. Bowie, where it was cheeked after some damage had been done.
