AUSTRALIANS, AT SCHOOLS. INVITATION TOURNAMENT ASMtANGED. AGAINST HAMILTON TO-MORROW. Back in Auckland after their, tour .through New Zealand, the Australian' lawn tennis team, Messrs. Kalms, Teague, Donohoe, and Sproule, will play in a special invitation tournament championship starting at Stanley Street courts ;on Thursday, and ending on ! Saturday. They will 'be seen in action j i against all the leading Auckland play-;, ers, including Bartleet, Sturt, Lauien- , son, Stedman, and others. This morning, at the invitation of the Auckland Harbour Board, the team "Was, taken for a launch tour round the har-. hour. • ■ • t. i i With the idea of giving school children an opportunity of seeing; these Australian .stars in action,! the quartet gave demonstrations at the Epsom Girls Grammar School this afternoon. They will also play at St. Cufchbert's College, where children from the Diocesan School for girls w also see them. At o'clock to-morrow morning, the team will leave by -two private cars for Hamilton, where they will play a one-day match against. Waikato. 1 ney will come ba-ck to Auckland in the evening. • . On Wednesday the team will go swim-, miiur at Devonport 'in the morning, have; lunch at Taka puna, and give exhibitions on the Takapuna -courts in the alter-, moon. Children from the Takapuna, Grammar School and from the Takapuna, primary schools will watch them. The Aufitraliar.fi are now at the top of their form, and there should be some sparkling tennis seen at the tournament on Thursday, Friday, and Satuidav.
