RIFLE SHOOTING.
THAMES DEFENCE CLUB. The members of the Thames Defence Rifle Club met on Saturday and shot for the first round, of the Labarre trophy, the winner being W. Dynes with a creditable score of 93. The following are the scores, the ranees being' 200 and 300 yards respectively :W. Dmes, 41, 43 (9)—S3; P. Trebilcocb, 45, 44 (2) —01: B. Gleeson, 41, 42 (8) —91: B. Wilson, 41, 37 (11) —S9 ; G. Hool, 35, 38 (15)—88: D. Moore, 40, 37 (11) —S8: J. Gordon, 39, 34 (11) —84; A. Isaacs, 33, 33 (15)— SI; W. Vedder, 32, 30 (15) —77: J. Hool, 30, 29 (la)—<4; C. Crosby, 29, 29 (15)-73. WHANGAREI CLUB. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. During the week-end the Whangarei Rifle Club held a. trophy shoot over 200 and 300 yards, J. Harland, 91, being the winner on handicap. Others well up were: — Patterson 90, Clarke S7, Foote 87, Stewart S6, Tobin S5, Norris S2.
