This bird, it was stated, was not actuallv a duck, but was a member ol the goose family. It was not tasty to the palate, and it was inclined to feed on crops ~ The date of the annual meeting was fixed for April 15. The secretary, Mr. C. M. Gordon, was appointed delegate to the conference to be held in Christchurch on April 7, to discuss the deer problem. Mr. F. E. UcKenzie presided.
