FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
CASUAL WORKER'S END. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. At the inquest on Samuel Prestidge, aired 65, a casual labourer, who was killed by a train at the Thorndon railway yards on March 4, the coroner returned a verdict of accidental death. Tie evidence showed that Prestidge was killed at a spot where it was customary for employees to cross the track 6.
APPRENTICE MUTILATED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Raymond Brown, aged IT. an apprentice 'fitter employed at the railway workshops, was run over and killed by a shunting train at Woburn, on the Hutt Valley line, at 7.35 this morning. His body was terribly mutilated.
