BAPTIST MEETING.
NEW MINISTER WELCOMED,
The Rev. R. L. Fursdon, the newlyappointed minister of the Shackleton Road Church, was officially welcomed by the president at a meeting of the Auckland auxiliary of the Baptist Union of New Zealand in the Tabernacle this week. The Rev. Evan Simpson, who reported on the progress of the church's work in Tauranga, was also welcomed. The Rev. Joseph W. Kemp was reappointed to represent the auxiliary on the Broadcasting Company. Besides reports from sundry other churches, it was arranged to hold the auxiliary conference meetings at the North Memorial Church, Remuera.
