WAITEMATA BOARD MEETS.
The Waitemata Electric Power Board met this morning, Mr. J. W. Hayden in the chair. \\ }]
A financial return for the month ended January 31 showed that the gross sales of current amounted t0'£4999, compared with £3723 for the corrcspondm* month of last year. The total sales for the' ten months ended January 31 totalled £61,302, an increase of £8501 compared with the corresponding period last year. Consumers'discounts'for the same period amounted to £74G3.
- The resident engineer (Mr. F. J v i H. Wilson) reported that the final section of the line in the Waikoukou Valley was made alive on February 11, supply now being available for all settlers. A short extension of the low. tension mains was in hand at Woodhill. .Early in the month a 75 k.v.a. static condenser was delivered and installed temporarily at New Lynn, resulting : in-an- invproveru.ent in operating conditions. Additional.lowtension circuits had been wired'on Sea View Iload and Coronation Road, Takapuna. Seasonal repainting of- street lighting brackets, and other structural ironwork was now in progress.
