BROADSIDING POSTPONED.
WESTERN SPRINGS MEETING. TO BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. N Though the management of Western Springs Speedway, had made very special track preparations in view of the importance of the meeting which had been billed for to-night, they, like other sports, find that the damage done temporarily to the grounds, renders it impossible to hold the meeting this evening, and a decision was arrived at to-day to postpone until Wednesday night. The postponement will not mean any curtailment of the original programme. Miss Taylour, the lady rider, Charlie Spinks, Arthur Mann, Jimmy Datson, and all the well-known local riders, will still carry out the same events as if there was no postponement. The management say that it is the best programme they have yet submitted to patrons and it is very unfortunate, after having spent considerabe money so that patrons would see this exhilarating sport at its best, that'it is necessary to postpone the meeting.
