STOLE BLANKETS.
LABOURER SENT TO GAOL.
"WILL THIEVE ANYTHING."
When in liquor, William Kirk, a labourer, aged 50, will .steal anything, according to Chief Detecticc Hammond. This morning Kirk appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court and pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing a pair of biankets valued at 15/.
"He doesn't know where lie stole them, and neither do we,' 'said Mr. Hammond, '•lie has been drinking again, and when he is drinking, he will steal anything. He has 50 or GO convictions."
Kirk was sent to gaol for a month
