exemption from duty. BRITISH TARIFF LIFTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day.' A supplementary "Gazette" issued this afternoon announces that the Governor-General, by Order-in-Council, acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, has suspended the existing tariff (being., the first schedule of the Customs Amendment Act, 1927) in so far as it relates to bran and pollard, and in lieu thereof exempts bran and pollard , fj-om duty under the British preferential tariif and the general tariff. Nothing in the above Order-in-Council affects the provisions of the Customs Act with respect to-primage duty. The Order-in-Council comes into operation lovlliwith. ■ ' .>
