Scullin Declines Beaverbrook Free Trade Plan. BUILDING- LOCAL INDUSTRY. (Received 10 a.m.) CANBERRA, this day. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. H. Scullin, when asked whether the Federal Government was in sympathy with the Beaverbrook free trade plans, replied: "Not on your life. My Government is pledged to build up the secondary industries in the Commonwealth."
