WAIHI BEACH PICNIC.
OUTING FOR DAIRY WORKERS VISITORS FROM THE WAIIvATO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. The annual picnic of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company is being held at Waihi Beach to-day. A special train conveying over 200 excursionists arrived at 9.20, the engine being decorated with flags. The executive officers were met on the platform by the Mayor, town clerk and the president of the Waihi Beach Improvement Society (Mr. Lightbourne). A fleet of buses and cars conveyed the excursionists to the beach. Sports were held during the day.
