DATE FOR BY-ELECTION. RESIGNATION OF DR. SHORT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. Owing to the resignation of Dr. Short as a member of the Waihi Borough Council, because of his departure for England, a by-election will be held on February 26. Two ex-councillors, Messrs. J. Moorhead and E; S. Swindells, will probably contest the seat.
