Holder of the world's record for onelap, Frank Pearce, a dare-devil Australian broadsider, will make Jus only appearance in Auckland at Western Springs Speedway this evening. In Wellington,■ 1 rceiitlv, Pearce easily beat Spinks, another famous Aussie, and Kilmister, the New Zealand champion, in a one-mile race. T!•/: programme to be presented this evening is regarded as one of tlie iinest ever drawn np in either Australia or New Zealand. Besides the world's champion, Jimmy Datson, who thrilled Aucklajiders when lie first appeared at Western Springs, will return to the track. He lias completely recovered from his injury of some weeks ago. Sid Perkins, who gave remarkable displays on the opening night, will also appear. The trio will be seen in a match race. Before the programme proper starts',' Pearce will make attempts on Kilmister's one-mile track record and. also on the one-lap record for the track of 2)s. A further series of the Auckland '-championship for the silver sash will be staged, in which A. Mattson, the present holder, will defend his title. W. Herbert and Ben Bray, as well as other local speedsters, will be his opponents. Special treatment has been given to the track, which is now in lirst-class order for high speeding. Patrons will enjoy the usual convenient arrangements for the parking of their cars.
