The man rushed through Stone's boot store and out of the front door. In answer to the. detective's call, one of he shop assistants took up the cliase. In Queen Street the pursued man cut between a line of taxis and swung into Victoria Street. It was at this stage that the shop assistant managed to kick the man's heels and trip him. A few seconds later he was in the detective's hands. Accused pleaded guilty to the charge preferred against him. He was remanded to January 24.
