Its failure to operate causes , the enlargement known as a "goitre." A true goitre is known by the tumour rising up and falling again in the act of swallowing. Apply sulphur ointment overnight, steaming: the skin in the-, morning ancl using a comedone - expressor (obtainable from chemists-): next, niglit and steaming again. For'mild cases, bathe with hot water, rub violently with a rought owel and bathe with spirits of wine.
