KNIFE FRACAS.

STAGE GIRL'S FRENZY. Infuriated because "Pauline got marlied," Danielle Zaco, 22-year-old Parisian girl artist, seized a breadknife and tried to kill Pauline Smith Rassmussen (26), writer, in a fierce figlit in a studio ui the heart of San Francisco's Bohemia. Mrs. Bassniussen, however, escaped with onjy minor scratches. The fight occurred, m Miss Zaco's studio, 628, Montgoineiy Street, famous as the old Montgomery block, home of painters, sculptors and writers. . , . "1 was going to kill Pauline and then myself," the young French woman nobbed to police after she had been lodged in the city prison charged with assault with a deadly weapon. "We had been the closest of friends since student days in the uatin quarter of Paris and had promised each other we would never marry. "When Pauline Smit,h caiiie to my studio this morning with a man she said was Emil Rassmussen and confessed she had been married to him two months, -L couldn't restrain tjyself. I had given up my family and my friends, to follow Pauline here, and I was overwhelmed when she told me of her double-crossing. But friends separated us and I didn t harm ' her." . . Please say you forgive me!" u Bailiffs restrained Miss Zaco with dirnculty, and Judge ' Golden, indicated he would ask Federal immigration'authorities to determine whether Zoco s. presence iu the United States is legal.
