FIRE BRIGADE /CONTESTS.
DARGAVILLE DATE FIXED.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, this day. The secretary of. the Auckland District Fire Brigades' Association advised that the invitation of the local brigade for the holding of the 1930 Auckland district-fire brigades demonstration at Dargaville has been accepted. The demonstration, at which brigades from all parts of the Auckland province will compete, will be held on Easter Saturday, April 19. The Whangarei Fire Brigade has accepted February 19 as the date for the annual competition for the Dargaville Citizens' Challenge Shield, to 'be held at Dargaville.
